We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Quoting Albert Einstein If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie proves it by nailing feminism into 52 pages.

We Should All Be Feminists is a must read for all. It took me no more than a trip to work to read it, but the enlightenment that came after is simply invaluable.

A female friend of mine asked me, if being an emancipated woman, I don’t secretly dream about being a princess, one who is taking care off by a male, male who also can fix a sink. My reply was that I do. And I am, and I do allow my man to fix a sink, if he wishes to do, but the difference is, that I do not expect him to because he is a man.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie makes the notion of feminism easy to digest providing short examples of gender inequality from daily narratives.

Thank you, Laura, for being an attentive friend and making this ever so nice gesture of posting this little bébé to me.
